Muchova Sidelined After Surgery
Wimbledon finalist Karolina Muchova will miss the coming weeks after undergoing what she described as a small surgery.
The world number six confirmed she will not play at the Canadian Open in Toronto, which begins on 1 August, but said the procedure went well and she is already working on her recovery.
Recovery Targeting US Open
Muchova, who lost to compatriot Linda Noskova in a dramatic three-set final at the All England Club earlier this month, is aiming to return for the US Open starting on 23 August.
She has dealt with wrist injuries throughout her career and suffered her second Grand Slam final defeat at Wimbledon, having also lost the 2023 French Open final to Iga Swiatek.
